Miguel Destino is a flamenco guitarist and songwriter from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). He found his musical expression in acoustic guitar. Miguel partners up with singers from all backgrounds to sing his lyrics, most notably Gareth Cobb and Rebecca D’Ambrosio. He collaborated with various musicians such as Kristian McComb, Arun Deshpande, Gabriel Merryfield, and poet Carl Chamberlain.

On his tracks, Miguel plays both the rhythm and lead guitars. Rhythm guitar is recorded with a Fender Sonoran, while the lead is recorded with a J-15 Gibson. The electric guitar of choice for Miguel is Les Paul.

Some of the tracks on the first two albums: "Tickets to Freedom” and "Road after the Exit“ were copmposed as early as 2004. The time period between 2014 and 2016 was the most creative and most productive in Miguel’s career. He was able at the time to develop his distinctive style, which resides between flamenco and Arabic oud music. The majority of Miguel’s music was recorded in London, UK.

Currently, Miguel is exploring the idea of performing during poetry recitals and in art galleries, coffee shops, as well as other artistic, cultural, and social venues in UAE. Hopefully, there will be a list of events posted on here soon for you to visit and enjoy the original flamenco sounds of Miguel Destino.

Until we meet!
